Cycle Accurate Energy and Throughput Estimation for Data Cache

Resource optimization in energy constrained real-time adaptive embedded systems highly depends on accurate energy and throughput estimates of processor peripherals. Such applications require lightweight, accurate mathematical models to profile energy and timing requirements on the go. This paper presents enhanced mathematical models for data cache energy and throughput estimation. The energy and throughput models were found to be within 95% accuracy of per instruction energy model of a processor, and a full system simulator?s timing model respectively. Furthermore, the possible application of these models in various scenarios is discussed in this paper

EVALUASI KARAKTERISTIK PRODUKSI SAPI LOKAL BETINA DI KECAMATAN KOTA JANTHO KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstrak.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penampilan reproduksi sapi potong lokal betina. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Kota Jantho Kabupaten Aceh Besar Provinsi Aceh yang meliputi 5 desa terpilih , yaitu desa Jantho Makmur, Desa Baroh, desa Terben,desa Jalin, desa Trans Jalin dan . Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan (1 Maret sampai 31 Maret 2018).Metode survei digunakan dalam penelitian ini.Penentuan responden adalah dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling yaitu mengambil sampel dengan persyaratan minimal peternak memelihara satu ekor sapi Aceh yang telah beranak dua kali.Sebagai responden ditetapkan sebanyak 20 orang peternak. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja reproduksi sapi Aceh baik, rataan umur kawin pertama adalah 16,6 bulan , jarak beranak,15,3 bulan, pedet disapih pada umur 5,3 bulan dan umur kawin kembali setelah beranak 6,4 bulan. This study aims to determine the characterization of reproductive performance of local beef cattle. This study was conducted in subdistrict of Jantho, Aceh Besar districk of Aceh Province covering five villages of desa Jantho Makmur, Desa Baroh, desa Terben,desa Jalin, desa Trans Jalin. The study was conducted for one month (March 1 to March 31, 2018). Survey method was used in this research. Determination of respondent is by using method of Purposive Sampling that is taking sample with minimum requirement of breeder to keep one local beef cattle that have gave birthtwo times. As the respondents set as many as 20 farmers. From the results can be concluded that the performance of local beef cattle reproductive is good, average age of first mating is 6,4 month, calving interval 15,3 month, calf weaned at age 5,3 month, age of remating after calving 6,4 bulan. Kemampuan Berpidato Bahasa Bugis Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Watansoppeng Kabupaten Soppeng

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpidato bahasa Bugis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Watansoppeng Kabupaten Soppeng dengan empat aspek penilaian yaitu: (1) lafal; (2) intonasi; (3) ekspresi; dan (4) isi pidato. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Watansoppeng yang berjumlah 123 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 97 siswa. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan cara diundi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes praktik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpidato bahasa Bugis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Watansoppeng dengan empat aspek penilaian yaitu: (1) aspek lafal terdapat 51 siswa atau 52,58% dinyatakan mampu; (2) aspek intonasi terdapat 47 siswa atau 47,45% dinyatakan mampu; (3) aspek ekspresi terdapat 24 siswa atau 24,27% dinyatakan mampu; (4) aspek penyampaian isi pidato terdapat terdapat 66 siswa atau 68,04 % dinyatakan mampu; dan secara umum terdapat 29 siswa atau 29,9 % yang dinyatakan mampu. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa baik secara peraspek maupun secara umum belum mencapai 85% siswa yang mampu, sehingga kemampuan berpidato bahasa Bugis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Watansoppeng dinyatakan tidak mampu. Analisis Pemilihan Pompa Untuk Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger Skala Laboratorium

Penelitian ini menganalisa tentang pemilihan pompa alat penukar kalor Shell dan Tube kapasitas Skala Laboraturium. Pompa yang digunakan dalam sistem Shell and Tube Heat exchanger ini menggukan dua jenis pompa , yaitu : pompa sentrifugal untuk distribusi air dingin dan pompa oli atau Gear Pump untuk distribusi oli panas (fluida panas).Heat Exchanger atau Alat Penukar Kalor merupakan suatu alat untuk memindahkan energi termal dari sumber panas ke sumber yang lebih dingin, atau alat yang memungkinkan terjadinya perpindahan energi kalor atau panas antara dua fluida atau lebih yang mempunyai temperatur berbeda. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya anilisa pemilihan pompa yang tepat agar sistem beropersi dengan maksimal.Dalam perancangan ini aspek-aspek yang perlu dihitung antara lain : Menentukan kapasitas Heat Exchanger sehinnga bisa diketahui kebutuhan aliran air yang dibutuhkan untuk mendinginkan fluida panas, sehingga effisiensi dari Heat exchanger bisa mencapai nilai maksimal

The Impact of Spatial Masking in Image Quality Meters

Compression of digital image and video leads to block-based visible distortions like blockiness. The PSNR quality metric doesn2019;t correlate well with the subjective metric as it doesn2019;t take into consideration the impact of human visual system. In this work, we study the impact of human visual system in masking the coding distortions and its effect on the accuracy of the quality meter. We have chosen blockiness which is the most common coding distortion in DCTbased JPEG or intracoded video. We have studied the role of spatial masking by applying different masking techniques on full, reduced and no reference meters. As the visibility of distortion is content dependent, the distortion needs to be masked according to the spatial activity of the image. The results show that the complexity of spatial masking may be reduced by using the reference information efficiently. For full and reduced reference meters the spatial masking hasn2019;t much importance, if the blockiness detection is accurate, while for the no reference meter spatial masking is required to compensate the absence of any required reference information

Phytic acid: How far have we come?

Phytic acid is a major storage form of phosphorous. Obvious reasons are there to favor its reduced concentration in organisms. However, certain justifications can also be settled, in order to support its increased natural concentration. In both cases, there are questions to be answered to favor one side while alleviating the harm of neglecting the other. Characterization of transport and magnetic properties in thin film La(0.67)(Ca(x)Sr(1-x))(0.33)MnO(3) mixtures

We have grown thin films of (100) oriented La_{0.67}(Ca_{x}Sr_{1-x})_{0.33}MnO_{3} on (100) NdGaO_{3} substrates by off-axis sputtering. We have looked at the changes in the resistivity and magnetoresistance of the samples as the Ca/Sr ratio was varied. We find that as the calcium fraction is decreased, the lattice match to the substrate decreases, and the films become more disordered, as observed in transport measurements and the variation in Curie and peak resistance temperatures. We find a correlation between the temperature independent and T^2 terms to the low temperature resistivity. The room temperature magnetoresistance exhibits a maximum as the peak temperature is increased by the substitution of Sr for Ca, and a change in the field dependence to the resistivity at room temperature is observed.Comment: 5 pages, 6 eps figures, to be published in Journal of Applied Physic
